		<description>My weird habit is of writing in the margins of everything I pick up... I tried reading a downloaded version of the Mysteries of Udolpho, pasting to a .txt file and making notes there, but I finally gave up an just bought the book (which is now incredibly dog-eared and scribbled-upon).  I realize that this what I described above is way less sophisticated than the Kindle.

Ultimately, my attitude is old-fashioned and marginal.  I get that.  Future versions of the Kindle may or may not be for me, but it is unfortunate that people are so eager to dismiss technology out-of-hand.  Light bulbs, telephones, cars, you name it.  The first versions of everything are flawed.</description>
